Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the box?
You will receive 1 Basslet (Black Edition), 1 sender (that also works as a charger), 1 charging cable (Micro USB to USB), 1 additional strap that fits larger wrists, 1 quick start guide.

When will the Basslet be shipped?
The Basslet ships February 2017.

What does the pricing include?
The pricing includes shipping and handling to your address. The pricing does not include any additional VAT, duties, or import taxes that may be applicable in your country.

Is there a warranty policy?
We offer a 1 year warranty in the unlikely case your Basslet comes with a factory defect. More information on the returns process will be provided closer to shipping date.

What if I change my address before the Basslet ships?
A few weeks before we ship we will ask you to confirm your address. If you have changed address in the meantime, you will have the possibility to inform us.

At this point we do not offer this option.

I have a pacemaker. Can I use the Basslet?
Like many electronic devices, the Basslet contains magnets and magnetic fields that may interfere with the use of pacemakers.

How does the Basslet charge?
We created a patent-pending technology to charge the Basslet through its volume buttons. It is built in the included sender that also acts as a charging dock: snap it to the magnetic buttons of the Basslet, plug in the charging cable and connect it to any USB port. It takes less than one hour to fully recharge.

Can I put it somewhere else on my body like my chest, head or foot?
We tested the Basslet across the whole body and some areas work better than others. We chose to focus on the wrist because it is both highly sensitive to tactile stimulation and a  convenient place to wear technology. (But sure, try it anywhere you want. We won’t stop you.)

What about rumours that Apple will drop the headphone mini-jack?
As soon as this is made official, we will roll out our plan to make the Basslet compatible with next-generation Apple devices. We will keep the Basslet community fully informed of the process.

When will my card be charged?
Your card will be charged upon shipment. However, our pre-order payments partner, Tilt, places a pre-authorization on your card as soon as you contribute. If the Basslet doesn't ship, this preauth will disappear and you will not be charged. If you used a credit card, a pre-authorization will show up in the "pending charges" section of your credit card activity. If you've used a debit card, your pre-authorization might look like a proper charge. It disappears from your statement within 7-21 days of being issued (how fast that happens depends on your bank). If you don't recognize a charge or wish to have further info on Tilt payments, please email us at support@tilt.com.
